In 2010, we took on the challenge of completing the Cambria Suites in Roanoke, VA. The five-story, 105,000-square-foot hotel was partially constructed when we acquired the project, with structural framing and some exterior finishes already in place. This hotel construction project aimed to deliver a 127-room building that blended functionality, style, and Cambria Suites’ brand identity. This hotel renovation required a seamless transition from unfinished to fully operational while meeting the high standards of the hospitality industry.

Building on a Strong Foundation

Taking over a partially built structure meant starting with thoroughly evaluating the existing work. After assessing the framing and exterior finishes, we developed a seamless plan to complete the hotel, ensuring it aligned with the franchise’s standards. This phase required attention to structural integrity and a focus on integrating the remaining construction with the original design.

The interior presented a blank slate for customization. Guest rooms were completed with finishes that balanced durability and modern aesthetics, while shared spaces were designed to enhance guest comfort and convenience. Every detail was addressed, from layout adjustments to the final touches, to create a cohesive and welcoming environment.

Elevating the Exterior

Exterior work was essential to completing the building’s polished look. We finished the facade with a clean, modern design that complemented the surrounding area while reflecting the Cambria Suites brand. These updates added curb appeal and created a welcoming first impression for guests.

The exterior wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was built for functionality, with durable materials that ensured the property would stand the test of time. By blending form and function, the finished building became a standout addition to Roanoke’s hospitality landscape.

Meeting Hotel Construction Challenges with Experience

Completing a project that began under different circumstances requires flexibility and problem-solving. Adapting to the preexisting structure, we worked efficiently to finish construction while maintaining the high standards expected in hotel construction. This ability to seamlessly take over and deliver results reflects our expertise in commercial building construction and our commitment to quality.
