In 2021, a new four-story Best Western Plus hotel opened in Jefferson, Wisconsin. The hotel features 57 modern rooms and amenities, including an indoor swimming pool. Located next to a BP Travel Plaza, which MCC also designed and built, this project provides travelers with a convenient stop that combines comfort and functionality. The hotel construction represents a significant addition to the local area, catering to both guests and the surrounding community.
Overcoming Challenges to Build a Strong Foundation
Preparing the Jefferson site for construction was quite a journey, and we had to think outside the box. Our first major task was elevating the land by eight feet to accommodate the new hotel. With only four above-freezing days available during the winter months, it really pushed us to find creative solutions. We also needed to clear a nearby pond to ensure the site was stable enough for what we planned.
Despite these challenges, we managed to complete the groundwork efficiently, keeping everything on track without compromising quality. From the beginning, our team focused on creating a strong foundation that could support this large-scale hospitality construction project. It felt great knowing that our efforts were setting the stage for a structure designed to meet the demands of today’s travelers.
A Space Designed With Travelers in Mind
Inside, the Best Western Plus was built to offer both comfort and practicality. The layout included 57 thoughtfully designed rooms, blending modern style with functional amenities. An indoor swimming pool added an extra touch, allowing travelers to relax and recharge. The hotel’s design balanced form and function, creating a space that welcomes guests while optimizing daily operations.
The addition of the BP Travel Plaza nearby made the location even more convenient for visitors. The plaza offers dining and retail options that complement the hotel. Together, the hotel and plaza have become a key stop for travelers through Jefferson, providing a one-of-a-kind destination.
